RIVERDALE RD @ 64TH AVE

At approx. hrs. the first due box assigment sounded for the Parkview Gardens Appartment complex for the report of a building fire with children trapped. E132 quickly responded from the station a few blocks away and up on approaching 64th Avenue, the were cut off and hit by a work van, unfortunally there was a lot of damage to the engine, and 2 career and 1 volunteer firefighters were also injured. Career ERTs Mangino and Duppins and Volunteer Firefighter Yarborogh were on responding on the call.

Thankfully the other companies responding to the call arrived on scene to find a small fire on the balcony.
